This week I thought I’d expand on my recent insta post that contained a number of Polaroids taken on Day 14 of making our feature film, Darker Days.
Here is a Birds Eye view of the Polaroid pile that was looking even more layered - this must have been taken just after lunchtime. Where Carl reset my makeup and checks were made. The handcuffs were a prop used this week in a location that we found on Sunday and shot in the following Wednesday.
It was Tom’s last day on Friday. He has been such a wonderful collaborator. So generous with his performance, his patience, his notes and constructive feedback. This film wouldn’t have been the same without him. We are so lucky to have had your belief in this project.

Our photogenic and hard-working Production Designer, and a friend for life.
Speaking of friends, these two have something very special. Our director, screenwriting and producer Bruno Centofanti and cinematographer Lukáš Bistřický have a collaborative synergy with each other and the trust for each other’s work is remarkable and beautiful to witness.

I think our faces and the enchanting night sky says it all. We are thrilled. Exhausted and thrilled.
We have 3/4 days left (still unsure about whether we’ll have an extra day to film or not but we’re coming to the end of the shoot. The day these Polaroids were taken was the day I started to really feel nostalgia for the present moment. I am soaking it all up and couldn’t be more thrilled. I know that these are memories for a lifetime and I hope that I can remember all the little moments that happened that either taught us something or brought us joy, because I’ve never felt so alive than how I feel now.
